About

Damien Kuntz (*1997, FR) discovered music at the age of 6. Starting with classical percussion, he later transitioned to drums and delved into jazz and improvised music at the Strasbourg conservatory under the guidance of Luc Isenmann and Eric Watson.

In 2020, Damien relocated to Bern for further studies at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB), where he excelled in his Master's Degree in Music Performance. Currently, he is pursuing a second master's in composition under the mentorship of renowned artists such as Dejan Terzic, Jim Black, Ralph Alessi, Django Bates, and Stefan Schultze.

Damien is an artist of multiple facets, known for his captivating performances, improvisations and compositions. His music reflects a rich tapestry of diverse influences, creating a unique and deeply personal melodic expression.

A respected sideman, Damien is actively involved in projects such as Noblique, Daniel Hernandez 5tet, Ulysse Loup O°W and Flo Pfister’s Tiny Orchestra. Additionally, he leads his own trio.
